WINNERS – Plumstead Challenge Cup 2018/19

The trophy haul continued on Sunday 19th May with our Sunday A side collecting the Plumstead Challenge Cup with a win over Bayswater RK on penalties at VCD.

A first half goal from Lewis Oduku put us ahead, before Bayswater equalised early in the second half. Late in normal time Lee Caffell in the Welling goal pulled off two point blank saves to keep it level and take the game in to extra time. A brilliant curled effort from distance by Theo Fairweather-Johnson restored the lead, only for Bayswater to pull us back again and it was off to the lottery of penalties.

With several Robinson brothers all converting, a fine 6-5 win on penalties secured another trophy to add to the league title in the WESFA Premier Division, and the Pat Tansley Memorial Cup.

Well done lads.
